Coconut Palm (Cocos nucifera)

A tall, slender palm with a slightly curved trunk and long feather-like leaves that form a loose crown at the top. It produces large green or brown coconuts that grow in clusters. This palm is strongly associated with beaches and coastal landscapes and can grow over 20–30 metres tall. For more information, please contact us.

Royal Palm (Roystonea regia)

A very tall, elegant palm with a smooth, straight grey trunk that slightly bulges in the middle. Near the top is a distinctive smooth green section (called a crownshaft) from which large arching fronds emerge. It is commonly planted along roads and estates because of its symmetrical, stately appearance. For more information, please contact us.

Swamp Cabbage Palm (Roystonea oleracea)

A massive palm often found in wetter areas. It has a thick trunk and large spreading fronds. The inner growing bud of the palm (sometimes called “cabbage”) is edible, which is where the name comes from. It grows very tall and develops a broad crown of leaves. For more information, please contact us.

Florida Thatch Palm (Thrinax radiata)

A smaller, more compact palm with a thin trunk and fan-shaped leaves that spread like an open umbrella. The leaves are stiff and neatly arranged. Historically the leaves were used for roofing thatch in coastal areas. For more information, please contact us.

Bactris Jamaicana

A clustering palm native to Jamaica that grows several thin stems from the base instead of one trunk. The stems and leaf stalks are covered in sharp spines. It usually grows in forested areas and produces small fruits that wildlife feed on. For more information, please contact us.

Talipot Palm (Corypha umbraculifera)

One of the largest fan palms in the world. It has a very thick trunk and enormous circular leaves that can spread several metres wide. The palm grows for decades before producing a massive flowering structure once in its lifetime, after which the tree dies. For more information, please contact us.
